  • I have to catch up on a lot of things.

You Can't Take It With You was absolutely amazing.  The entire experience from rehearsals to performances was priceless.  When the lights blacked out Saturday night to mark the end of the final performacnce my heart sank, I can't believe our final play at chs is really over.  Now all we have is the end of the school year and the summer before everything changes forever, for good.  I'm just glad our last performance was such a bang making it a great end to a fabulous 4 years in the drama department at chs.  Thank you to everyone who participated in the spring show, you made it a wonderful experience for all.

Immediately after the show was over the juniors and seniors were thrusted (not literally Jay) into ap exam week 1.  The exams went pretty well this year.  For some reason I never really stressed out about them, maybe cuz I figure NYU wont accept many of them anyway.  I'm just glad they're over, they were just a pain in the ass to deal with.

Rachel Carson Middle School's performances of Annie Get Your Gun was this past weekend.  I went to all of their performances including their final dress rehearsal to support them and help them out a bit.  Even though I didn't choreograph the entire show I was so proud of those kids.  They did an awesome job and it made me happy that they seemed to look up to me a bit.  It's unfortunate I couldn't recruit any of them into the chs drama department cuz they're all going to other schools.  But really that just sucks for them b/c our deptarment is the best.  In all honesty they are super sweet kids and I'm glad I worked with them as well as Mr. Bickford who is going to be a daddy in November!  Congratz to him!

Now things are finally winding down a bit.  I have a few projects and some test here and there, but I think I'll finally get to come home after school every so often and just chill with my firends which I'm in desperate need of.  ITStivle gave me a taste of that.  It went off really well and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

Well now I have to go back to work as I think about my sister who is done with school for the summer and is now tanning on the beach.  This is so not fair.  I need a vacation, soon.

    Lots of love, Missy

P.S. Sam made me one of the coolest secret pal presents ever!!! I adore my Sycamore family tree!

  • I'm sorry for being such a horrible updater.  I'm kinda a hypocrite because I check everyone else's everyday.  Meh. Well, a lot has been going on lately.  Almost everyone knows where they are going to be spending the next four years of their lives.  If you want a good list check out Jay's xanga.

Congratz to the cast and crew of the first two performances of You Can't Take It With You.  It all came together really well and you guys were awesome.  I can't believe Mere, Jae, and Subodah are done with their last play at CHS, it's so weird.  Though it does feel like Jae is in our cast because he's always at our rehearsals, he's just so cool like that.  I'm so excited for this weekend's performance.  I've had so much fun preparing for the show and I know we'll have a blast performing it.

I'm currenly on day five of Passover.  That means I pack a special lunch to school everyday and try to avoid matzah at all costs.  It's not bad at all this year, but I'm sure by Saturday night I'm gonna gorge on non-kosher for passover food at the cast party because I finally can........Mitch has been warned.  haha  The sedars this weekend were awesome.  My family came down from Maryland and my sister brought her boyfriend up for the first sedar so he could celebrate and as my family says, Meet the Fockers or The Whole Mespucha. <--That means family in hebrew for all you not in the Jew Crew.

Ok so we have 2 days till the first week of AP exams are upon us.  Therefore all the teachers decide to load a ton of work onto us so that we'll be ready for them on top of optional outside of school review sessions that I feel I should go to.  That plus the play, plus normal homework, plus a load of tests, puls Passover, plus scholarship applications are making me a little crazy.  But I'm handeling it.

Yay for warm weather, boo for the pollen count being in the thousands and the normal high is 100.  Seriously.  The yellow film on my car needs to go away and everyone needs to stop being sick beacuse of the pollen.  Get well soon everyone!

  • Hello!

All this beautiful weather has really put me in a great mood!  It's odd what a little sun and light breezes can do.  You Can't Take It With You is such a fun show!  I am having the best time at rehearsals.  I'm trying my very best to make this show awesome and have a blast in the process because it will be, as most of you know, our last show.  I've only read 2 bios for the show and I already practically cired.  Anyhow, I'm sure rehearsals are going to be super intese this week because it's our last week before dress rehearsals!!!  That is nuts!  This is the shortest rehearsal time ever, but we can do it!

Thank you to Jenna for bring me food twice now to rehearsal.  It came in handy multipule times, it fed me and it froze the gum on stage.  Last night was mucho fun.  I watched Get Over It with Sam-a-rusky as Sharrett calls her and Jennala dropped by for a bit too!  It reminded me how hot Shane West is, how funny Martin short is, and how tasty dounuts are!

I can't believe we're about to start the fourth quarter and we have about 8 A days and 8 B days untill AP exams!  This year has gone by so fast.  I'm so excited for the end of the year and summer festivities.  Like all the up-coming ITS events, my cousin's wedding, and my very first cruise!

I think the warm weather is putting everyone in good spirits, it's really wonderful!

    Sun be with you!

  • OK. I am now going to recap some spring break highlights, again and hopefully this time it WONT get deleted.

I went shopping with Sam.  I went shopping with my mom.  I went shopping with Raissa for 6.5 hours!!  I got a lot of shopping done to say the least.  Also I got a freakin ton of sleep, which let me tell you was absolutely beautiful.

One extra special day was spent at Marley's house.  We watched Disney movies and ate Eddie made cookies and Sam made cookies.  You wouldn't believe all the stupid things in Disney shows' plots.  It's rediculous, you can really question everything....which we did a lot, untill Sam yelled that it's Disney and it doesn't have to make sense.  Kinda like the plot holes in Wicked, as Monk would put it "I'm a witch, yet I wont zap the evil wizard with my magic wand."  Defying Gravity!!!!

That evening I went on adventures with Abba.  We picked up neumous people along the way.  We ambushed Corey's house and pissed off his dad.  After many trials and tribulations we ended up at Bon Apetito where we bought all the left over pizza, 3 boxes, for $16.  Then we ate it on the side walk.  That was amazingly fun.

I also traveled to DC with my parents.  We went to a furnature store to buy a coffeee table and this store had the coolest couches ever!  They were amazing.  I decided that I just want a house full of cool couches later in life......on second thought I actually don't.  But these couches were still soo cool.  But the coffee tables sucked so we left and got Mexican food!  Then we learned that the spy meuseum was sold out which pissed me off.  So we walked to the American Idian meuseum instead.  That was pretty cool.

Other fun things happened, but i'm too lazy to type it all.  I only promised the highlights anyway, so don't complain, you don't need to know every detail of my life SAM!  ....i mean.....hahaha

Now we're in the middle of rehearsals for You Can't Take It With You.  This show is so much fun, I'm having a great time.  Today Mr. Monk discovered the joys of throwing an empty water jug at people.  I drew a terrible mean face on it in red shapie.  I really can't draw well.  Umm school is school.  AP exams are coming up in a month.  It's kinda scary cuz I don't feel like I'm ready at all, especially cuz in all my ap classes we still have a bunch of units to do.  I'm sure it'l all work out in the end though.

Congratz to everyone who is hearing great news from colleges!!!  This is such an exciting time!  Also, congratz to my sister who got an internship at a law firm!  I'm so excited that she's visiting this weekend.

Oh and one more thing, I have officially broke out the flip-flops which means spring IS here and the sun HAS arrived with warm weather!  I'm so glad the winter cold is gone and the new season has begun.

    Have a great one!
